NOTE: This picture really does not do this mat justice because the pattern on the mat's surface is slightly distorted in the picture, and some of the lettering is hard to read.

1903 Marr Floor Mat
Marr was the chief engineer for David Buick and decided to build his own car. This car was far ahead of it's time engineering wise. It had a six position steering column, timkin roller bearings in the wheels, a steering wheel, and top speed of 40 miles per hour. This is the only existing Marr car in the world and has won first prize honors at every show it was entered into.
The mat was made in two pieces with the top mat being made of black neorene with the holes cut into it with a specially made die. A white mat was trapped under the black mat. This allowed for easy cleaning of the white mat.
The 1928 running board tread pattern was was simple, but the La Salle logo inset into the mat really added to it's elegance.
